It gives us great pleasure to congratulate Blackwell on winning the Online Retail Award for the Books, Magazines and Newspapers category. The Blackwell Online Bookshop faced strong competition, but the judges voted the site “most enjoyable online bookshop experience”.

One Hundred Years still going strong…
It was announced this week that in a survey of 25 international writers One Hundred Years of Solitude was highlighted the most influential book of the last 25 years, appearing three times in the list compiled by Wasafari magazine.

New Generations and Secret Societies…
At the other end of the scale is the big hit of the moment, Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol, which is topping the hardback book chart, this is currently available with a discount of £3 off.
Future classic and sequel to cult hit Generation X has also hit the virtual shelves this month. Coupland has updated the theme to encompass life in the digital age with his new book Generation A, customers can currently save £4 on the publication.
